Following last week’s reports about three upcoming Nokia Windows Phones – the Nokia “Sabre”, “Sea Ray”, and “Ace”, today two more Nokia Windows Phones had been discovered. The first one came from French website MonWindowsPhone (via WPCentral) which revealed a device named Nokia “Sun” is coming to Orange France. Below is an image of an internal Orange release list showing details of the new device:
Translated back into English, the Nokia “Sun” device is said to have a 1.4 GHz processor, a unibody polycarbonate casing, 16GB of RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 3.7” AMOLED screen, and supports micro-SIM. According to the leaked specs about previous Nokia Windows Phones, the specs seem to match those of Nokia “Sea Ray” (especially with the 16 GB of RAM and 8 MP camera). WPCentral speculates this might just be the retail name for the Nokia “Sea Ray”, but we’d have to wait until Nokia World to find out what it will be. MonWindowsPhone also claims that according to the Orange memo, the device will be made available for Orange France customers between 7-13th November, which goes well with the timing of Nokia World.
The second Nokia Windows Phone device uncovered today is the Nokia “Lumia” 800. The device name popped up on Occasional Gamer’s statistics page (via WPCentral), but not much else is known about this device. The name “Lumia”, which means “art created from light”, goes nicely with the Nokia “Sun”. The numbering of the phone – 800 – seems to indicate that the specs of this device should be at least better than the Nokia 703 (which we speculate to be Nokia “Sabre”).
With all these new Nokia Windows Phone device names popping up, it makes it really interesting to see what will be announced at Nokia World on October 26-27. Be sure to stay tuned at LiveSide as we bring you the latest on Nokia’s Windows Phone offerings.
