Mix 06 is a 3 day conference in Las Vegas, taking place on March 20th – 22nd, that focuses on how the Internet is changing under our very eyes. Discussing topics such as Internet Explorer 7, Atlas, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Windows Live, Mix 06 aims to help developers, designers and decision makers increase the content and commerce experiences they offer on the web.
Already confirmed is a developer session on "Building Interactive Applications using Windows Live Robots, Activities, and Alerts" as well as other sessions on building websites for mobile devices and extending RSS. The session on "Bots" follows the CES announcement that MSN would be providing a TV bot, giving users access to information on their favourite shows as well as those of their buddies, via Windows Live Messenger.
Also confirmed is a session focusing on gadget development, both in the Windows Vista Sidebar and on the Windows Live platform. Yes gadgets aren't just for Live.com now, according to the chatter heard around CES users can expect to see them appearing on Spaces in the near future.
