We’ve had Windows Live Alerts set up for LiveSide for a long time, but to be honest the service just didn’t work all that well for a time, with “alerts” coming hours or even days after we’d posted.  Recently there’s been quite an improvement however, and today we noticed that a slight change has been made to the email alert, giving not only the title of a post but a bit of the content as well:
