In a race to get a post up before the battery dies/wifi craps out/the plane boards, we’ll make this one quick, even though the announcements are significant.
First, some Bing news: Bing has (finally) added public transportation information to Bing Maps, something that Google has had for some time. And just in time, too, as Windows Phone 7 is in its final approach to launch, sometime in October or early November. Windows Phone 7 has finalized its developer SDK, and there are new Bing Maps tools for Windows Phone. We expect that “out on the street” info such as bus or train stop locations will be quite useful in a phone.
