The winners of both contests, Bing’s Home Sweet Homepage photo contest and the Seasonal Synth Challenge- Holiday Lights, have been announced.
Home Sweet Homepage
Entries from all across the globe came in, but the winner is Justin Kraemer’s Seattle Skyline
He took this picture on March 29, 2009, after a long stretch of bad weather with the Sigma 30mm F/1.4 lens he had just bought. Want to see more of Justin’s photography? Visit his personal website at www.justinkraemerphotography.com.
Justin’s winning photo of the Seattle skyline will be displayed on the Bing home page on Wednesday January 6, 2010. As said before entries came in from all across the globe and photos from the US, France, Spain and New Zealand all made the top 10. Check out the photo contest Facebook album.
Photosynth Seasonal Challenge ”Holiday Lights”
The team received 27 submissions for the Holiday Lights Challenge. The winner is the "Mintz Family Christmas". Check out all them lights!
This synth is currently displayed on the Photosynth.net front page, which is completely devoted to holiday lights (until Dec. 27th). Also check out the four runners-up there: 2009 – Cook Family Christmas Display, Surace Family Christmas Light Display, Metropolis mall – New Year lights, and Holiday Light Display .
Don’t forget you can also explore these synths, all synths actually, on the new Bing Maps Beta: explore all Photosynths.
Speaking of Bing Maps Beta a new application has been added to get you in the Holiday spirit. It’s called Snow Globe and brings snow wherever Streetside is available.
Anyways, back on topic: Congratulations to the winners, and runners up of course, of both contests!
