At SMX Advanced, Danny Sullivan spent an interesting 45 minutes talking with Qi Lu about Bing.  For his first time in public, Lu was engaging but serious about the job ahead, while seeming relaxed and comfortable onstage with Sullivan.  They even had a little fun with the new Bing t-shirts:

Lu spent much of the interview talking about “intent”, as Bing tries to identify and present most probable intentions for a particular search by organizing the information in the left hand quick tab bar.  Nice to hear about some of the technology involved with Bing, as much of the focus recently has been on the brand and the user experience.
