someone mentioned this before but what is the point in haviing home.live.com and my.live.com aren't they both pretty much the same thing/ wouldnt they work better as the same thing?

Well, it certainly looks pretty but, as insanelyapplepie pointed out, it's barely customizable. It sorta reminds me of when www.live.com became what it is now, and the "personalized page" got shoved off the stage. Actually, it's the web version of the Windows LIve Today thing that's part of Live Messenger.

Anyone notice privacy permissions had defaulted to either Everyone or My Network? My Network includes everyone on your Messenger Contacts list: agents included. Glad I didn't have my last name, address, etc. for my Spaces page wasn't set to inherit members of my Live Messenger contacts list.

Oh God, the profile page really use the http://<gibberish_string_like_skydrive>.profile.live.com format (click my nick for an example). I think someone has said that it can be customized?

@Edgar J.: There's currently a networking problem on the server end and hence some services might be a bit unstable. Read more from here: windowslivewire.spaces.live.com

@BuciboLebo: Windows Live Personalized Experience (or My.Live.com) is managed by the Live Search team (that's what I last heard) and hence is on a different release schedule as this Wave 3 release.

What does the future hold for Windows Live Personalized Experience. This seems to overlaps it and not much is being said about it anymore. I hope it does not become dumpware since I use it a lot.

well, in poland we had also windows live wave 3 update and im unhappy because of home.live.com - theres no way to change, customize right column with news, headlines... and im sentenced to watching news about stupid popstars...

translation of services seems to be maded in a big hurry - theres some blatant grammatical errors.

I see a lot of people using this -- especially those who already use Messenger/Hotmail a lot. It is a natural fit. Especially when they start seeing their contacts participating thanks to the feed in Messenger and Hotmail.

So -- this will take some getting used to for ppl who are only used to using Messenger.

You can have Messenger "buddies"/Hotmail Contacts and separately, friends or people you have added to your profile. They can be independent of each other.

I have some people on my profile that aren't Messenger buddies and vice versa.

So they may be blocked or deleted on Messenger, but they are still a "Friend" on Windows Live. So you must remove them as a friend from your network. You won't see their updates in your What's New feed anymore.

You can also hover over the what's new item and you'll notice a little blue "gear" show up...you can click that to remove certain items from your feed. Example: I'm on the LiveSide.net network...but I don't want to see each time Kip or Chris add someone as a friend of LiveSide.net's network. So I removed that from showing up in my feed. Sweet!

It's pretty cool, but I don't see any of my friends using it, except one Microsoft fanboy/employee. (You know who you are)

I also noticed that people that you have blocked and deleted from your contact list, also show up in the feed. That makes zero sense.

@Chris: Do you know why my status is not displayed on Windows Live Home or Windows Live Profile? (e.g. your status is 'Away' at the top right of your Windows Live Home, in this screenshot, whilst mine stays as 'Unavailable', even when I change my status on Windows Live Messenger) :(
