MSN, Twitter, etc. get to tag along with new Windows Phone

You just can’t make this stuff up.  It’s like Microsoft is living in some parallel advertising universe where the object is to generate as much jaw dropping disbelief to their ads as possible.  If the Windows 7 launch party videos weren’t enough, here’s the new Microsoft/AT&T ad for Windows Phone:

Windows Phone ad “Icons” (YouTube)

According to YouTube poster “SocialNerdia”, the new ad is a product of Crispin Porter & Bogusky (CP&B), the agency behind the Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld ads for Windows.  Parallel universe indeed.

It's bizarre and just rubbish

I don't think it's that bad. I showed it to some people and they seemed to get the gist of it. I mean, it could be much better, but I wouldn't damn the whole Windows Phone marketing based on this AT&T-specific promo. From the time I found this same video and posted it on YouTube a couple days back (much higher quality too), I've yet to have seen it on TV yet or had any tell me they have.

We have this ad in the UK too for Vodafone. Seen it a few times now.

The ad seems fine to me too.  You have it serves its purpose...  Nithing wrong with it as far as I am concerned.

This is really pretty cool! I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact, really serves its purpose. - Habanos
