Windows Live Hotmail Wave 3: What’s New

Thanks to some great work by tophtucker and then BV2312, we managed to catch the new Windows Live Hotmail promotion site as soon as it popped up today. What we love about this site is that it has gone public with some of the changes for Windows Live Hotmail that are coming up in the Wave 3 beta. Here's the summary: Speed: The coming soon page says that for broadband users, the new Hotmail will be up to 70% faster on sign in (50% for non-broadband users). Get Windows Live OneCare 2.0 for free from Amazon.com

While we don't usually do these kind of late-night TV infomercials, this one should be of interest to a few of you. Amazon.com is currently running a $30 rebate on Windows Live OneCare 2.0, which means after rebate you get it for free. Its US-only (sorry!) but here's the link if you're interested:

While we're talking about Amazon, I'll mention Mary-Jo Foley's new book, Microsoft 2.0. Seems like there's some juicy stuff in the Appendix too.

I open the "microsoft link" and type the name of the book into live search and it returns no result. Sucks.

But google and yahoo return hundreds of results. Why's this?

i am currently checking live one care on my pc. using 90 days trial. after that i will plan to buy or not live one care

@imgen : I typed "Microsoft 2.0" and the main site for the book was only the 2nd major result. Not too bad if you ask me.
