Windows Live Services on Connected TVs

A source at Microsoft revealed to tweakers.net (at CES) that Microsoft is negotiating with TV manufacturers about delivering Windows Live Services with internet enabled televisions (Connected TVs).

It’s unclear at this time which services this will be, probably Windows Live Messenger as this has a video call function just like Skype. Panasonic and LG are going to deliver Skype with their internet enabled televisions. Microsoft wants to be on Connected TVs too, just like Skype, according to the Microsoft source.

With which TV manufacturers Microsoft is negotiating is not known at this time.
